The Relationship Between Postpartum Depression Risk and Emotional Intelligence and Evaluation of Affecting Factors

Objective: This thesis research is a descriptive study conducted to evaluate the relationship between emotional intelligence and postpartum depression risk factors affecting it.Methods: The was carried out April 1 - September 30, 2018 at Katip Çelebi University Atatürk Training Research Hospital, Obstetrics Clinic. universe of consisted women (N = 624) who gave birth 2018. sample 193 delivered Hospital's Clinic, agreed participate in complied with criteria. In first meeting, participants were applied “Participant Diagnosis Form” “Schutte Emotional Intelligence Scale” second “Edinburgh Postpartum Depression 6-8 weeks after birth. study, t-test used independent groups for differences two-group variables, ANOVA analysis determining variables more than two groups.
